FAAC Electric Gate Repair in Las Vegas: What to Know First

FAAC electric gate repair in Las Vegas typically runs $180 to $450 for most board, sensor, and limit-switch fixes, with full actuator replacements landing between $650 and $1,400 parts and labor. We’re an independent FAAC service provider (not affiliated with or authorized by FAAC), and most repairs are completed same-day once we diagnose the issue. You get a written price before any work starts, and every repair carries a 365-day written guarantee. If you own a FAAC swing or slide gate in Las Vegas and it’s acting up, call (725) 777-5391 and a live person answers, day or night.

How FAAC Products Fail – and How We Fix Them

FAAC operators are genuinely well-built machines, but the Las Vegas Valley throws two things at them that other climates don’t: sustained triple-digit heat and fine alkaline dust. Here’s what we routinely find on FAAC jobs across the valley, from Summerlin to Henderson:

  • FAAC 400 and 402 swing operators burning out capacitors in summer. These are workhorse residential swing operators, but the capacitor that gives the motor its starting jolt degrades fast when ambient temps sit above 105 for weeks. The gate won’t start, or it starts and stalls halfway. We replace the capacitor and test the motor windings while we’re in there, because a bad cap sometimes masks a motor that’s on its way out too.
  • FAAC 750, 844, and E024S slide operators with dead limit switches. These are the slide-gate lines we see most often on Las Vegas properties. The limit switch tells the operator where open and closed are. When dust gets into the switch housing, the gate overtravels, slams the end stop, and reverses. The fix is a new limit switch, which we keep on the truck for most FAAC slide models. We also blow out the track and check the guide rollers while the cover’s off, since desert grit is usually what causes the switch to fail in the first place.
  • FAAC S450H and S800H hydraulic operators with leaking hoses or low fluid. These are the heavier-duty hydraulic swing and slide operators on larger residential and commercial gates. Las Vegas heat causes hydraulic fluid to break down faster, and seals in the pump get brittle. The gate moves sluggishly, whines, or won’t hold position. We’ll trace the leak, replace the line or seal, bleed the system, and set the pressure relief properly. We never just top off the fluid and hope for the best, because a leak never fixes itself.
  • FAAC XT2 and E024S boards with fried relays from power surges. Las Vegas gets sharp monsoonal storms in July and August. When lightning takes a nearby transformer, the surge rides right up the gate’s power line and takes out relays on the control board. The gate either won’t respond at all or moves one direction only. We test the board and replace the relay if the board is worth saving, or we swap in a new board and add surge protection so it doesn’t happen again.
  • FAAC photocells and safety edges misaligned or sun-blinded. Every electric gate in Las Vegas has safety sensors, and FAAC systems use photocells and reflective edges to keep the gate from closing on a car or a person. Direct afternoon sun at the wrong angle fools a photocell into thinking something is in the path, so the gate refuses to close. A reflective edge that gets brittle in the heat and cracks triggers the same fail-safe. We clean, realign, or replace these, and we test the full safety loop before we call the job done.

Our FAAC Electric Gate Repair Process

  1. 1
You call (725) 777-5391. A live person answers and asks what the gate is doing, or not doing. You tell us, and we give you a real arrival window, not a four-hour guess.
  2. 2
We diagnose on-site. The tech arrives in uniform with a stocked truck. For a FAAC job, that means we check the control board first for error codes, then the limits, then the mechanicals. Dean Prescott’s rule on the truck: find the actual defect before recommending a part.
  3. 3
We show you the price in writing. Before a single bolt is turned, you get the repair cost on paper, parts and labor broken out. If we recommend a repair, we’ll explain why. If it’s not worth fixing, we’ll tell you that too and put a replacement price in front of you instead.
  4. 4
We do the repair with the right parts. On FAAC boards and safety sensors, we fit OEM or manufacturer-approved components so the system stays in spec. On consumables like capacitors, belts, and hydraulic fluid, we use commercial-grade aftermarket parts that match or exceed the original spec and save you money over dealer pricing.
  5. 5
We test, clean, and guarantee the work. We cycle the gate a minimum of ten times, check the safety loop, and adjust the travel and force settings. Then we leave the job site cleaner than we found it and hand you a written Kingswell Guarantee, good for 365 days.

Why Las Vegas Homeowners Call Portcullis Gate Repair Las Vegas for FAAC Work

Most of our FAAC repair calls in Las Vegas come from homeowners who’ve already been through the wringer with another gate company. They called someone, got a lowball quote over the phone, and watched the number double after the gate was disassembled on the driveway. That doesn’t happen with us. We work the Kingswell Way: written price before work starts, a real arrival window, a clean job site, and a written 365-day guarantee stapled to every invoice. If the repair fails inside that year, we come back and make it right at no charge, no argument. And while FAAC is one of our core service brands, we also carry parts and service experience for LiftMaster, Mighty Mule, Ghost Controls, and DoorKing, so if your property has a mix of operators we’re not chasing parts across town.
