Get your free estimateGate Repair Before & After in Las Vegas, NV
If you’re researching gate repair companies in Las Vegas, you’ve probably noticed something: most of them describe their work, but few show it. We take a different approach. Since 2008, we’ve kept a record of the gates we’ve rebuilt, rewired, and brought back to life across the valley. The transformations below are representative of the work we do every week. Names and addresses aren’t included, but the scenarios are real. You’ll see what a fried circuit board, a sagging cantilever, or a seized actuator looks like before we arrive, and what it looks like when we leave.

Slide Gate Operator Swap in Summerlin: Viking to LiftMaster
This Summerlin homeowner called us after their Viking operator, the motorized box that drives the gate along its track, quit mid-cycle. The gate sat half-open across the driveway, which in Las Vegas is not a cosmetic problem. It’s a security one. We swapped in a LiftMaster operator we had on the truck, reset the travel limits, and had the gate opening and closing the way it should within the afternoon. The homeowner paid the written price we quoted before we touched a single bolt.
Cantilever Gate Re-Level in North Las Vegas
A commercial property in North Las Vegas had a cantilever gate that had been dragging across the asphalt for months. The roller assembly had worn flat, and the gate had settled enough that every open cycle scraped concrete. We lifted the gate, replaced the rollers, and re-leveled the carriage so the gate floats over the drive the way it was designed to. That gate probably weighs 800 pounds. You don’t want it leaning on hardware that wasn’t built for it.
Actuator Replacement on a Swing Gate in Henderson
In Henderson, we see swing-gate actuators fail in a predictable way: the internal gears strip, or the motor burns out after years of pushing against wind and dust. This homeowner’s gate had frozen completely, trapping a car in the driveway. The actuator, the motorized arm that physically pushes the gate open, had seized. We replaced it with a FAAC unit matched to the gate’s weight and length, then adjusted the opening and closing speeds. Most swing-gate actuator swaps in Las Vegas run $350 to $900 parts and labor, depending on the model and gate size.
Photo Eye and Safety Edge Rewire After Desert Heat Damage
Desert heat does specific things to gate wiring. Insulation cracks, then crumbles. Connections corrode. A gate in the northwest valley started reversing for no reason, which usually means the photo eyes, the small sensors on either side of the gate opening, are misaligned or losing signal. We found the wiring had degraded to the point of intermittent contact. We pulled new low-voltage wire, realigned the eyes, and replaced the safety edge. The gate stopped ghost-reversing the same day.
Ghost Controls Keypad and Receiver Install in Centennial Hills
Not every repair starts with a breakdown. A Centennial Hills homeowner had a gate that worked fine but was only accessible by a single remote. They wanted a keypad for the family and a receiver that could handle multiple remotes. We installed a Ghost Controls keypad, programmed the receiver, and walked them through setting their own codes. The gate opened and closed the way it should before we arrived. It just needed the access it should have had all along.
Mighty Mule Control Board Replacement in Spring Valley
Spring Valley gets hot, and control boards don’t love it. A Mighty Mule system went completely dark. No response from the remote, no movement, no clicks. We opened the control box and found the board scorched, likely from a power surge after a summer monsoon storm. We replaced the board, reprogrammed the remotes, and tested the cycle repeatedly to confirm the limit switches were set correctly. The limit switches are what tell the gate where to stop. If they’re wrong, the gate slams or stops short. Ours stopped exactly where it should.

Every repair we show here started with a phone call to (725) 777-5391. Someone picked up, listened to what was happening, and scheduled a real arrival window. You’ll get a written price before any work starts. You’ll get a technician in uniform who knows your gate’s operator by brand, not by guesswork. And you’ll get the Kingswell Guarantee stamped on your invoice, good for 365 days. If the repair fails inside that year, we come back and fix it free. Call us and see what your gate should look like.
