We stock FAAC-compatible weldments and fabrication pieces for gate operators across the Las Vegas Valley, and our techs install them same day in most cases. A typical FAAC welding and fabrication replacement runs $225 to $650 installed, parts and labor both, depending on what failed and which FAAC series you have. Most owners call us after hearing a grinding noise at the gate post, or when the gate starts sagging enough to drag on the driveway. The weld that held the operator bracket or hinge assembly gave out, and the gate is now only as strong as whatever is left holding it.
We are an independent service company that works on FAAC equipment. We are not affiliated with FAAC, but our technicians see these systems every week and know exactly how they fail in southern Nevada. The heat and dust here are not gentle on welded joints. Metal expands and contracts through every 100-degree day and 40-degree night, and after enough cycles the microfractures show up as a gate that suddenly will not close all the way.
Which FAAC Models This Applies To
The welding and fabrication work we do covers the full range of FAAC swing and slide operators, but the most common calls come from the FAAC 400, 412, 415, and S800 series, along with the hydraulic 750 and 760 lineups. The welded bracket that mounts the operator to the post or the gate frame is a known stress point on these models, especially in gates that were installed more than eight years ago. FAAC does not sell every bracket as a standalone part, so when the bracket fails, the factory answer is often a new operator. We fabricate the bracket instead, matching the original bolt pattern and steel gauge.
One compatibility gotcha: the FAAC 400 and 412 use a different mounting pitch than the 415, even though the operator housings look nearly identical at a glance. We measure the center-to-center distance between the mounting bolts before cutting any steel. Every fabricated part is made to match the original dimensions within a sixteenth of an inch, because a bracket that is even slightly off will put the actuator arm under stress and tear the weld again inside a year. When we fabricate for an FAAC, we build from 3/16-inch or 1/4-inch cold-rolled steel, which holds up better than the cast zinc or stamped steel brackets some operators shipped with.

Signs Your FAAC Welding & Fabrication Is Failing
- The gate sags toward the latch side. The weld on the bottom hinge plate has started to crack, and the gate is levering itself downward. You will see a gap open at the top hinge and the gate will scrape the ground near the free end.
- A grinding or popping noise when the gate moves. The operator bracket is flexing against the post. The weld has cracked partway through and the two pieces are rubbing against each other with each cycle.
- The operator moves but the gate barely does. The weld between the actuator arm and the gate has failed. The motor is working fine, but its force is not reaching the gate leaf.
- Fresh rust streaks below a welded joint. Rust coming from a seam is a sign that water has gotten into the weld and the connection is failing from the inside. In Las Vegas this is less common than in humid climates, but it happens on older gates near pools or sprinkler overspray.
- The gate stops mid-travel more often. When a bracket has play in it, the gate’s travel angle shifts slightly and the safety edges or limits start reading false obstructions. The operator is fighting a mechanical problem, not an electrical one.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
Here is what FAAC welding and fabrication actually costs in Las Vegas, based on the work our crew has done over the past few years:
- Operator bracket fabrication and reinstall: $225 to $450
- Hinge assembly rebuild (both hinges, new weldments): $300 to $550
- Broken gate leaf repair plus re-square and re-weld: $350 to $650
- Actuator arm re-weld or replacement arm fabrication: $200 to $400
The range comes down to steel thickness, access, and whether we need to remove the gate leaf to jig it square. Every job gets a written price before we start. That price covers the steel, the welding, the grinding and cleanup, and the labor to rehang and test the gate. We also check the operator’s limits after the repair, because a re-squared gate moves differently than a sagging one did. If the gate is not right a week later or a year later, we come back under the 365-Day Done Right Promise and fix it at no charge.
DIY or Call Us?
There is an honest split here. You can check the obvious things safely: look for cracks with a flashlight, watch the gate run through a full cycle, and mark any point where metal is rubbing or shifting. But welding on a gate that holds a 300 to 800-pound leaf is not a weekend project. A bad weld on a gate bracket can fail without warning, and when it does, the gate leaf can come down hard on a car, a kid, or a delivery driver. The force involved is not theoretical: a free-swinging 20-foot gate leaf has enough mass to do real damage, and high-tension hinges under load do not give a warning before they let go.
We recommend letting a trained welder handle anything load-bearing. If you just need advice, call (725) 777-5391 and describe what the gate is doing, and we will help you figure out whether it is a job for us or something you can inspect on your own. Tell me what the gate is doing, or not doing, and I’ll give you a real number before I touch a single bolt.
FAQs
Most FAAC welded brackets and hinges on a properly installed gate last 8 to 12 years in Las Vegas before fatigue cracks appear. Gates that are oversized for their operator, or that were welded with the wrong hinge geometry, can fail in 5 years or less.
Sometimes. If the metal is still thick enough around the crack and the original geometry is sound, we can grind out the crack and weld it back stronger than before. If the steel is thin, pitted, or the bolt holes are elongated, we fabricate a new piece to match the original pattern. Call (725) 777-5391 and we will give you a straight answer on which one applies to your gate.
Most FAAC welding jobs take 2 to 4 hours on site, including removal, fabrication or weld repair, reinstall, and operator testing. We generally can get to you same day or next day in Las Vegas, and you will get a real arrival window when you book the call.
We carry steel stock, jigs, and the most common FAAC brackets and hinge weldments in our Las Vegas trucks, so most jobs finish in one visit. If your FAAC model needs a bracket we do not have, we cut and weld it to spec the same day. We also stock parts for LiftMaster, Mighty Mule, and Ghost Controls operators, since many Las Vegas properties have more than one brand on the property.
