We’re a Las Vegas crew that has been fixing gates since 2008, and every one of us has had a gate fail at the worst possible moment, which is why we show up prepared. As a Kingswell company, our Las Vegas location is independently owned and operated, but the people who answer your call and roll up in the truck are locals who know Summerlin heat, Henderson wind, and North Las Vegas dust. We’re background-checked, uniformed, and trained across nine gate-operator brands: LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule. Here’s who you’ll actually talk to and see at your property.

Our People
Dean Prescott, Owner & Lead Technician
Dean founded Portcullis Gate Repair Las Vegas in 2008 after spending years on commercial access-control jobs across the valley. He’s the one who decided early on that every repair gets a written guarantee stamped on the invoice, not a handshake. His specialty is electric gate repair, specifically the control boards and limit switches that desert heat cooks every summer. When he’s not diagnosing a FAAC board that gave up at 2 a.m., he’s usually rebuilding a swing-gate actuator on a Spring Valley property or walking an apprentice through voltage readings. Dean will tell you exactly what’s wrong, what it costs to fix, and what he’d do if it were his gate. It usually is.
Marco R., Senior Installer
Marco has been installing and rebuilding gates in Las Vegas for over a decade, and he’s the lead on full gate installation jobs across the valley, from single-family driveway gates in Green Valley Ranch to commercial slide gates off Sunset Road. He’s certified on LiftMaster and Linear operators and handles the heavy structural side: steel posts in caliche soil, proper hinge alignment, and the kind of welding that holds up when a monsoon gust hits. Marco keeps a photo library of every install he’s done since 2015, which comes in handy when a client calls about a gate he built years ago. His rule is simple: the gate should feel right the first time, because he’s the one who has to come back if it doesn’t.
Elena V., Service Coordinator
Elena is the voice on the phone when you call Portcullis Gate Repair Las Vegas, and she’s been dispatching our crews for six years. She knows the difference between a gate that won’t open and a gate that’s making a noise it shouldn’t, and she’ll ask the right questions so the technician arrives with the right parts. Elena schedules every job with a real arrival window, not a four-hour guess, and she’s the one who makes sure every customer gets their written price before any work starts. She’s also our brand-operator specialist on the scheduling side, which means she can usually tell you which technician to send based on the operator on your property. When the phone rings at 3 a.m., Elena answers it. A live person, every time.
Darnell T., Apprentice Technician
Darnell joined our team two years ago after working on access-control installs for apartment communities near the Strip. He’s earning his certifications on Viking and Ghost Controls operators and apprenticing under Dean on electric gate repair, limit-switch adjustments, and safety-edge replacement. Darnell handles a lot of the clean-up and site-prep work, and he’s the one who makes sure your driveway looks better than it did when we pulled in. He grew up in the northwest valley and knows the neighborhoods, which helps when he’s running parts between job sites. Darnell’s the newest member of the crew, and he’s the one who keeps the warranty paperwork straight on every single job.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Portcullis location is independently owned and operated, but each one is bound to the identical Kingswell Guarantee. It’s not a franchise promise. It’s a written one, and it applies to every repair we do in Las Vegas. Here’s what that means when our team is on your property: we say the price before the work. We show up in the window we gave. We leave the place cleaner than we found it. We put the guarantee in writing on the invoice. And if the repair fails within 365 days, we come back and fix it at no charge under the 365-Day Done Right Promise. That’s the standard Dean set back in 2008, and it’s the same standard Marco, Elena, Darnell, and every technician on this crew works to every day. We call it the Kingswell Way: five plain-English commitments, no fine print, no surprises.
